Material browser is slow to open

Any ideas on why the material browser is so slow to open? I know there were problems with this in previous releases but I thought they were fixed. I've checked on another machine with even more materials than my project, but it opens fine over there.

Ideas?

Mine was acting slow as well, and after trying all kinds of things, I had it set to run in Windows Compatibility mode, and once I changed that, it seems to be working better.
