I have experienced an issue with printing to our network printers using DWF Composer. Our company has several Canon 330, 400 and 550 series printer/copier/fax.

I am printing a document that is 19 pages however the printer will only print the first 8 pages. Then the print job stays stuck in the printer. Every time anyone sends a print job to the printer it reprints the first 8 pages. This will continue to happen until the job is finally cleared from the buffer. Any suggestions?

This does not happen on our HP printers/plotters.

Thanks

This does not happen on our HP printers/plotters.Hi

That statement makes it sound like a Canon issue and not a DWF Composer issue.

If it was happening on both Canon & HP then yes I would say it's a DWF Composer issue.

Above is just my personal opinion, for what it is worth....

Have a good one, Mike

I would recommend that you verify you have the current drivers for the printers.

Thanks for the replies.

It turned out to be a font issue. The Canon printers that we have are dinosaurs and could not handle fonts that were embedded from Microsoft word. Although installing updated drivers would most likely solve the problem, getting the IT department to update the drivers would be virtually impossible. As a simple solution, prior to printing a "word" doc to a DWF change the font settings from "Embed all fonts" to "Embed No Fonts". Problem solved, the day was saved!!
