View Full Version : 2017 Can anyone tell me if it is possible to model this in Revit?

It is a handrail connected to a wall. The problem is the form in some kind of spiral...
Doesn't matter in wich kind of family, just want to know if I can model this in Revit. With the normal tools I can't do it...
Doesn't have to be in 2017 version

The short answer is yes, the long answer says it's not that easy.
There's a few Dynamo nodes out there that will let you do a Helix around a path.
I'm thinking you would need to set the helix along a curve as a void sweep.
Just my thought, but maybe someone has an easier way. I've played around with Dynamo enough to know that just about anything is possible. However I'm not that good at it.
But yes would be my answer.

So I also thought about using a blended sweep and trying to change the rotation of the second profile.
I totally thought that was going to work.
Sadly it doesn't
Adaptives might be the next option I'd look at.
