Redline program

I am looking for a redline program that is able to extract information to a database. Also I would like to be able to access a drawing when someone else is doing the mark-ups without it being read only. Can anyone recommend a redline program?

To my knowledge there is no way you can access a drawing file already open without it being "read only" With the DWF drawing format you can access layer and attribute information of an AutoCAD drawing although extracting it to another application is another matter. I dont know if such a program exists.

Although I believe the DWF format is an open API and I'm sure a custom application could be written that would extract the information you seek.
