fascia to cut roof

I am trying to get my fascia to cut into my roof. the plywood and finish material will sit on top of my fascia. I am not able to the structural part (rafter) to be cut by the fascia as shown in the attached PDF. I would think there is a way to do this.

You have to model it just like it's built. The roof should only be the plywood and finish with no structural, then put the fascia on the bottom edge of the plywood. Typically the fascia is vertical, not how you have it shown at an angle like that.

I saw that you posted this on RevitCity and Revit Forum. It looks like Revit Forum responses hit the nail on the head. But if not, please post a revit file for us to examine. It would be more helpful.
