Split Section Drag End issue

I have a large dormitory with 6 stories. On the 1st through the 3rd as well as the roof plan the section cut split function works properly. Once I get to the 4th - 6th floors this is happening...
Any ideas why?

Two thoughts, but really no idea:
1. Are the upper floors cropped differently?
2. Do you have scope boxes?

I don't even know if those would affect it, but I thought I'd throw them out.

The section has a view template applied.
This is a dependent view.
The section cut leader is stretched the full length of the building on the view it is dependent from so that should not be hindering me stretching the grip on this view. Like I said, it works fine on floors 1-3 as well as roof plan..

No scope boxes.
