Copying detail lines between views

I copy lines in one view and try to paste them in another, both elevation views. I can see lines in blue when I paste them, but once I accept the paste they are gone. I have tried every possible way of copying and pasting, all with the same result. How do I copy lines between views?

In the "visibility graphics" is the "lines" category checked on in the view you are wanting them in? It may be turned off in that view.

Yes, If I draw new lines they are shown as normal, it is just copying lines in that does not work.

They could be model lines and the workset that you have current when you paste is not visible in the view.

Uncheck the "crop view". There are times I need to do this in sections & then what I'm pasting will appear.
