Window visiblity in Plan

I have had this problem a few times and still am unclear on how to solve it. I place a window in plan, maybe a 24" x 24", then duplicate, rename, and resize, to 24 x 10. It shows in plan as the original window , 24 x 24, but not the 24 x 10. It's there in elevation, 3D, and is there in plan if I mouse over it. The tag is there but visiblity in not, only in plan.

I have monkeyed with view range until it's coming out my ears and am convinced that is not the problem. I'm sure, like most things I have had difficulty with, it is something simple.

You've moved the "cut plane" within the window range and it is not showing?

You are exactly right. I moved it everywhere but there. Having spent so much frustration on this issue it will be a lesson well remembered.
