Would it be best to approach a custom stair railing by editing a railing component or would it be easier to create a railing with generic sweeps. Not a very complex railing, it's a 1 1/2" inch dia. metal railing which turns and bends and needs to connect back into the wall in a specific way. Have no idea how I would edit an existing stair railing to do what I need to so I figured maybe starting off completely with sweeps may be an easier route. Any suggestions??
