DETAIL ITEM LIST NOT SHOW FULL LIST

I have a co-worker who is having trouble with detail items in a project not showing in the detail item list. when he goes to the annotate tab then to component and detail item. on the properties window you can hit the drop-down menu to select any of the detail items that are in the project. for my co-worker when he clicks on the drop-down menu he only gets a few of the items. so then he has to restart Revit to get the full list of items.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this happen only when changing an existing Detail Component to a different Family or Type? Or does it happen when placing new Detail Components too? Does it happen to you too? Or just your co-worker?

In your project browser scroll down to families and expand that and find detail items and expand that and check to see if they are all loaded in there or if the same problem is occuring.
