Is there a quick way to create a continuous polyline from an alignment? What I've been doing is exploding the alignment to a block, exploding the block to lines and arcs, then pediting them together. But I've got a very long alignment.

If you 'offset' an alignment it will create a polyline. You could either offset the alignment 1 unit to the right and then offset that 1 unit to the left, or, offset the alignment by 0.000001.

What do you want the polyline for?

Another way you could use is the create feature line from alignment command and then just explode the feature line. the exploded feature line becomes a polyline.
