Room Finish Schedule N, S, E, W

Hi,

Can anyone walk me through the process of creating a room finish schedule where I can have N, E, S, W below the 'Wall Finish' parameter? I have only been able to find a small amount of information online and not very clear.

Depending on how you want the schedule to work will affect the process you use. I'm going to assume you simply want to enter a text value into a field in order to describe the wall finish. Here goes.

Create four parameters to represent the wall finishes for each direction. These can be shared or project parameters depending on whether or not you want this information to show up in tags or not.
Add the parameters to your finish schedule. Make sure they are in the order you want and located properly among the other parameters.
In the finish schedule, select the headers for all of the wall finish parameters and click on the "Group" button. Do this by clicking in one of the headers and dragging across to highlight the desired headers.
Enter whatever text you want in the group header and you should be good to go.
