copy & paste detail group from one plan view to another plan view

I am having a problem copying a "Detail Group" from one floor plan to another floor plan. I click the the detail group and click the copy to clipboard button. I switch views to the floor plan I want and click the paste (align to current view). I do not get anything after this not even an error message.

Does the "Modify | Detail Groups" tab appear after you paste? If it does then I would suspect a visibility graphics issue. Have you tried using the Place Detail Group command from the Annotation tab to see if you can place a group? If you can (and you can see it) you may have copied more to the clipboard than you thought but that's just a guess.
