Hi All,

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I have a question about how to remove the volume/detail between a floor family and a foundation family.

Basically, my floor construction (slab, insulation and aggregate) sits 200mm below the top of my foundation level, and so I now want to remove the intersecting volume of the aggregate with the foundation.

In Autocad I would simply subtract the two entities from each other, however I can't seem to replicate this in Revit.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this it would be a great help!!

Thank you

Use Join Geometry tool. The order of picking the objects matters. You might need to use Switch Join Order tool afterwards.

FANTASTIC!! Thank you! I'd been using the cut operations and getting nowhere!
