I want to make a tag that will show Length Width and depth of a bookcase I have developed as a Revit furniture family. I'm getting stuck with this and can't seem to find a solution.

A good solution is to create a set of Shared Parameters called Height, Width, & Depth. Add those to the tag family, the furniture family, & the Project.
These parameters would then report in the tag.
it is important to use the shared parameters through all three files. If you create a parameter with the same name Revit will not recognize it and it will not report in the tag in the way you want.

ok thanks
I'll try that later this evening
These dimensions will change, as in when they bring in the family they can change the dims of it. So I need the tag to update to match the new dims.
I'll try it later. I'm not very good with parameters, just learning about them now.

When they change the dimensions they are changing the parameters. That's the beauty of shared parameters.
The hard part is there are a number of steps to the process to get it right. You have to create the Shared Parameters, then add the parameter to all three files, then you can actually use them.
