Change text background size?

Hello everyone!
I have a small but irritating problem. To keep my text readable when I make a filled region I need to set the text background to opaque, and the problem is that the offset is too big (small orientation view for title head). Is it possible to change the background size somehow?

Leader/Border Offset setting in Family.

That only changes the border offset, does not change the background.. Doesn't matter how small the offset is, the border will always be at least the height of the background.

So, unless there is some tool in Revit that allows you to crop the borders of a font, it won't be possible to change the size of the background as it is the size of the actual spacing in the .ttf-file in the Windows fonts folder. Just have to change the font for now, I guess.
