2006 autocad

For some reason everything on the screen is slightly distorted. If I draw a circle it appears to be an eclipse, but dimensions correctly. Any thoughts please?

Do things in other apps (like a circle in Windows Paint) appear distorted also?

Usually this is because of a Windows setting, not an ACAD one.

2006 was a major upgrade, first one using CUI files and the graphics were different. I believe it was around the an engineer got the first widescreen LCD monitor in our office and it had the same issue. A circle was widened to look like an ellipse and a square looked more like a rectangle. I believe it went away with the next release.
