Hi all,

I am looking for books that discuss VBA and AutoCAD. I took a peek at the stickeys, nothing there i could use. I went to amazon but the only books were for pre-2014 versions of autocad. does anyone know of VBA 7.1 books for Autocad, preferably for 2017?

I haven't looked, but I doubt it, as the VBA api hasn't changed. New development is focused on the .NET api.

so your saying that there are no 7.1 VBA books for autocad then? All I found was for 2006, nothing came even close to 2014. since 2013 uses VBA 6 (from what i have read) why are there no updates to the current version?

You might be able to find some changes from Microsoft regarding what's new in VBA 7.1, but the AutoCAD object model/api hasn't changed for years.

I think what Ed's getting at is VBA is still VBA, so all you need is the CHM help file (still included with the install) with the AutoCAD ActiveX/COM documentation and you're good to go.

I would go down the vlisp direction it now 5 Years + since Autodesk said VBA will not be supported. Kindle VLISP books I bought 4 for $8 each.
