Is there a way to use custom hatch patterns in Acad 2004 to work in Acad LT 2004?

Hi

As far as I'm aware a custom Hatch pattern file (.PAT) that works within AutoCAD should also work within AutoCAD LT, is this not happening for yourself?

Have a good one, Mike

Hi Mike,
I went to my support folder and there seems to be 2 files, one called aclt.pat and another called acad.pat. I pasted in the hatch patterns in the file called aclt.pat and nothing happen. So after reading your reply I pasted the hatch patterns into the file acad.pat and there they are!
What is the aclt.pat file? when I open it it says that it is hatch patterns for acad lt.

Hi

Aclt.pat is AutoCAD LT's standard Hatch pattern file.

Acad.pat is vanilla AutoCAD's standard Hatch pattern file.

Personal opinion - I personally would not alter either of those files, instead I would keep "Custom" Hatch patterns in their own .PAT files, then both versions (LT & vanilla) can use exactly the same "Custom" Hatch pattern file(s).

Have a good one, Mike
