Help needed

I don't now if am allowed to do this or not. Trying to create a column family, but when I place into the project it doesn't have a height.

Can someone look at it?

can I add the file?

It loads ok now, just extrudes to a different height that the levels I place it in at. I place it from basement to ground and it goes from about 2.5m below basement to ground.

Check your top and/or bottom offsets in the properties palette before you place it. Also, in your family, make sure that the top and bottom are constrained to the top & bottom reference planes.

thanks for replying. Just opened my project up and it all seems ok, maybe I just needed to turn of my PC and restart? weird, waste of a day yesterday but at least it's working and I know I was doing it correctly.

It doesn't look like the family was updating in the project properly.

new problem, when I join the slab and wall in section to remove joint lines. Joint lines appear on plan at the wall junctions.
