HI,

I am doing an embed layout in Revit in a curved building and we would like to report the x,y,z coordinates of each embed. We currently do this in AutoCAD using data extraction and a insertion point of each block but I cant seem to duplicate this using Revit OOTB tools. Coordinate tools give me easting/westings but that isn't what the powers that be want to see.

My preferred category of embed is Structural Connections but Generic Model or any other category is ok.

Also can this data then go in a spreadsheet so I can export it or put it on a sheet to print?

Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

p.s. I'd rather not accomplish it with API because I don't know how to code and I need it fast. Add on tools would be ok but only if they're "free".

Did you ever get what you needed?

Although you said no API, did you consider Dynamo? It is quite easy to get the XYZ coordinates of objects using Dynamo and reporting to a schedule or Excel should be easy-peasy.

If you are still in need of a solution, I could try to help tomorrow (Fri, Apr 28).
