We recently installed AutoCad 2017. Now when ever I go to paper space the ribbon changes to the Layout Tab. I don't want it to do this. I want it to stay on the Home Tab unless I change it. Is there anyway to do this?

To change the Ribbon from switching tabs to Layout every time you switch from the Model tab to a Layout: Customize… CUI → Partial Customization Files → ACAD → Ribbon → Contextual Tab States → Layout Tools → Contextual Layout Tools, switch Contextual Display Type from Full with focus to Full without focus. The Layout tab will still be available, but it will no longer automatically switch to it. While in ACAD → Ribbon → Contextual Tab States you can do the same with “DGN Underlay selected”, “DWF Underlay selected”, “Image selected”, and “PDF Underlay selected”.

To change the Ribbon from switching tabs to Multiple every time you select a few different items: CUI → Ribbon → Contextual Tab States → Heterogeneous selection → Multiple, switch Contextual Display Type from Full with focus to Full without focus. The Multiple tab will still be available, but it will no longer automatically switch to it. You must do the same to Heterogeneous selection 1 as well.
