Hey Group,

I have been coding LISP since 1986 and have taught many years at AU on the subject of LISP.

I would be willing to teach a class or classes on a closed thread to help everyone benefit from years of learning and mistakes.

I am NOT interested in publishing a book, but just teach here at AUGI.

That is if I have interest by our membership and the subscribers to this thread.

My way of coding is not the only way, and I learn from others techniques, but if I teach a class I would appreciate it if the participants adopt my style for the course assignments.

Because it is online, you can always come back and find the samples.

Good day sir, I am a regular user of AutoCAD but I haven't been able to start on Autolisp. It would be really helpful if you help me out here. How can I attend your class? Could you provide the necessary details?

What I was hoping to do is produce a series of courses with simple step by step posts to help a new programming get a grasp on the subject quickly.

I asked the forum administrator and he is OK with the idea of some classes.

Programming lisp is a big subject with lots of ways to do it.

Stay tuned to AUGI LISP forum for more details.

Can you help me better understand your level of expertise?

What would you like to learn?

Peter,

I have a basic knowledge of Lisp, meaning i know what it does and how it works. I can look at a routine and see what it does. What i would benefit from is a little better understanding of the language and easy ways to write my own codes. Hopefully that makes some sense, i have been looking at a lot of threads and other blogs but most of them are on specific items/routines that people are looking for help with.

Good Morning

I would be interested in the classes. I have some experience writing lisp but could always use a little more especially on the best practices side of the things.

I started with AutoLISP 101 in the sticky section at the top of the forum.

I also create discussion threads for each topic so you all can comment and ask questions.

Jump in and read through the posts.

I am trying to put one post a day up so you all can digest each section and comment.
