Anyone has worked on various monolithic stairs? I have a quite simple concrete stair that is supposed to have a smooth underside.(see plan attached) When I have the options shown in my second attachment, but with stepped not smooth there is no error (but it isn't the stair I want)
Anyone had problems before and now has grasped the monolithic stair concept with smooth underside concept?

sorry Luigi,
Al I can say is been there done that. I just made them stepped and drew a filled region over it :? .
I think I ones had it by drawing a spiral stair for the turn part, delete the curved boundary's and replace them with straight lines. Draw the treads to and from the turn part (is that understandable ?). It worked but there where some other issues I can't remember now.
Hope it helps.

I spoke to support about this and apparently there is no issue with monolithic stairs. (I STRONGLY DISAGREE).
The rectification they gave me was to set tread and riser thickness to 0, and turn off the start with riser, end with tread options...
It worked in my case, but still consider it an issue as i can't show any finish to my stair now.

I have to agree with Mr Spot. There seems to be issues with monolithic stairs. I thought I'd have a go at the stair posted by Luigi, only simpler, and look what happened...
I'll keep trying....

Hey there,
This is old; however, I still use this method.
Steve
Monolithic Stairs
Use stringers to create a monolithic stair by following these steps:
1. In the stair Type Properties dialog box, set the Type of Side Stringers to Open. The stringer goes to the underside of the Tread.
2. Set the Stringer Position to Left only and the Stringer Thickness to the same value as the Stair Width.
(See image 1 below: The stair Type Properties dialog box.)
3. Set the Tread to be the same material as the Stringer and set the Riser Type, to none.
4. In the Instance properties, set the Tread to a very small Thickness.
5. Control the Depth of the stair with the Stinger Carriage Height parameter (see Figure 1).
In a 3d view the resulting monolithic stair is displayed.
(See image 2 below: The resulting monolithic stair.)
