Hi,

When I select the text 'L50' in Revit and do select all instance, visible in view, it takes all the text i.e. L50, 2, L13 (see pic attached)

I wanted to delete all L50, is there anyway I can choose only L50 text to have it deleted.

In Autocad, I could do this in properties, quick select, value and could filter it to delete/ modify.

Thanks,
Azam

Remember that you're selecting ever instance of that type. So you're grabbing every instance of the Family that "L50" was created with (Say "Text-Notes").
What you're looking to do if find all text objects where the text string = L50 and then delete it.
You could run a dynamo script for that.

When I select the text 'L50' in Revit and do select all instance, ...

Are you sure you mean "text" and not family/type? As David says, if it's not plain annotation text them it's a whole different ballgame.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.
I have attached another image, if this could explain better my query.

Here in this image I have the diameters of the pipes, 25ø, 32ø, 40ø and 100ø, if I select , all instance are selected.
Thus if I delete, all would get deleted. If I want to select and delete only test of All 32ø from this image, is there any way to do it.

Thanks
azam

Well, there's a lot to unpack there. Are you a Revit user or just trying to fix a drawing up a bit?

What you're showing is that you have a pipe system with different pipe dimensions. Each pipe dimension is shown in the tag placed beside each pipe section (there is no editable 'text', what you're seeing is text representation of a property of the pipe). Why would you want to delete all pipes of a certain diameter? Surely you just want to change their dimension. If you delete them it will break the pipe systems.

But if you really want to delete all pipes with a certain diameter then you'll need a tool for filtering you selection in more detail than Revit can. A tool like Quick Select works really well. Here's a pic to show you what I mean. Hope that helps.
