Import Stair & Handrail into a Revit Family

HI All,

I am modeling a crane on a Revit Family template for metric furniture, and I want to provide stairs till the top of the crane and some handrails on the top beam.
I though that the quickest way to do so would be creating them on a project and export it to a family, but I couldn't manage to do it.

Any idea about how to do it or work a solution around without modeling the stair step by step??

unfortunately you cannot bring stairs into families as stairs are system families. What you could do is bring in a ladder family that someone has created and posted online somewhere. There are dozens of different types that will likely serve your needs.

You could use a Line-based Family embedded in the crane, using an array on the line for the stairs. Same thing for the handrails, but without the array. But, as noted previously, you cannot mix System Families with Component Families.
