AeccLand.shp has a Tree shape used in Treeline linetypes in AeccLand.lin.
Could that be what you're looking for?

I don't know you have been made it by Express tools (MKLTYPE) or downloaded outside.
The former, the shapefile has to be stored in the drawing by using command MKSHAPE.
And then make linetype by using command MKLTYPE, Only then lin file can recognize shapefile.
