I've inherited as-builts for a job from another outfit (bad feelings all around ), and the goal is to do some minimal changes fo a small addition and modify some drainage pipes and structures. The source drawings have been bound, so _everything_ in in the one model file, multiple phases, old existing, demo, etc etc.
my problem is, when I double click in a locked viewport, the model space vanishes (apparently zooming way the heck & gone) evidently something is set in the drawing to force a zoom extents.
ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Check UCSFOLLOW sysvar (Drawing saved):

set to zero, and UCS is world, and always has been.
still dble-clicking into a viewport does a Zoom E automatically. going back to Paper space does not restore the previous viewvpmin

Interesting - does this also happen in a new Viewport in same Layout, or in new Layout, by chance (in same drawing)?
If that still suffers the undesired behavior, what about WBLOCK entire drawing?

This job finally came back -- seems to be some type of corruption in the viewport object -- best fix has been to create a new viewport (save the modelspace view in the old bad biewport, and set it current in the new one, delete the old and drag new over.)
