I'm having trouble exporting details from Revit to AutoCAD. I have Revit 7.1, AutoCAD 2005. I export the detail and while the base model looks OK, but all the detail componants are shifted out of place, and the level heads. It happens if i export from the view, OR from the sheet.
also, It attaches all the files attached to the revit file even if they're different views or set to invisible.
Am i doing this wrong? I've attached the DWG so you can see what happens...
TIA.

Please post Revit model too, or send both to support.

I will send both to support, can't post the revit file because this is an active project, and a 40 MB file.

Hi janunson,
I have the exact same issue. It seems to be a problem when the section view is broken into multiple views. Any luck on finding a workaround/resolving this issue?
Thanks,

No, no workaround found. I haven't been able to send the file to support because for some reason the page kicks me off or won't accept my login. I've given up on it; the deadline passed.

Shucks.
I'll look into it through my supplier and post if I find anything at all.

We’re experiencing the same problem with Revit Building 8 Beta and Acad 2005.

Actually, exporting the same stuff from Revit Building 8, Build 20050428_2300 into AutoCAD 2006, it comes out almost right., just a few things that need trimming or adjusting. For a dwg that prints to match the RVT however, i'm finding i actually get best results to print to postscript, open in Illustrator, and export to DWG. You loose layers but retain weights and don't have to deal w/ all the solid hatches that come out of the revit export.

Have you tried exporting as a .dxf? I seem to remeber a similar problem back in 6 and we found that if we exported as a .dxf it didn't repeat.

If you experience exporting issues using 8.0 shipping version please either post simplified Revit model here, or contact support. Thanks.
