I work on two monitors with revit main screen on one and the project browser and properties palletes on the other arranged at the edge of the second monitor to leave space to view other documents.
Today, neither pallete display.
I assumed someone had closed them, and so looked at View tab Windows/User Interface, but both are ticked on.
Tried toggling them on and off, but no change.
Tried closing Revit and restarting, but no change.
Also closed down and restrted machine. No change.
No matter how they are set in the user interface they wont show up, either on primary or secondary monitor.
This makes Revit unusable.

Can anyone help?

Thanks hope for some replies, getting a bit desperate!

Robin

Sure, it is because of the multiple monitors. Sometimes changing the resolution will help, but other times it takes deleting a registry key.

Many Thanks Brian,
Having edited the registry as per that link, I have my palletes back.
But now I have another issue..maybe its unrelated but:
The palletes appear on the middle and left of the second screen. When I grab them with the mouse to drag them alongside the main revit window, they jump back to the right staying half a screen to the right, as if an offset has been created between the mouse pointer and where its being dragged to.
I cant make them move using windows key and < keys either.
So any further help if anyone knows what else is going on would be great.
Thanks Robin

Just in case any one else has the same problem of the pallets jumping away off to the right away from the mouse pointer:
I solved this having discovered that someone had set the customised display on one screen to 100% and 125% on the other.
Although this does not cause a problem with the other programs being used such as Word and Excel, it causes problems with Revit!
Not only did the palletes jump off to the right away from the mouse and fairly quickly off the screen to be lost,
drop down menus were being displayed off to the left and hidden between the two monitor displays obscured by my vertical task bar.
Revit currently as of R17 needs both displays set to the same custmised font size setting, ie both at 100% or both at 125% etc.
If they are set to different values the problem occurs.
In combination with Brian's suggestion to delete the registry key to reset things, this has worked.
