Wall shortening

I know 1-2 ways to handle this but I want to check if there is something I 'm missing.

(1) = a room
(2) = what happens if I remove one wall. Length2=Length1-0.5*Width

I usually place a line there before erase the wall and then I align the walls to that line.
As you often say, "Not Revit -like" action.

Any comments?

Of course, this problem only happens if you have dimensioned to the outer face of a mitred wall join, so that when one wall is removed, the remaining wall is shortened.

If the walls were set to disallow join and then butt jointed, the wall length would remain unchanged when one wall was deleted.
