Hello

I have tried inserting and linking an AutoCAD "3-D solid" into a 2018 Revit project and also family editor. In all four cases Revit said:

"Revit can not import some of the geometry. This result can be caused by various issues with the source file. Adjust the geometry of the source file and try again. "

The file AutoCAD file ("3D MODEL.dwg") is attached.
Can anyone tell what needs to be adjusted before Revit will accept the AutoCAD file?
Thanks very much.

Have you tried going into the DWG and re-exporting it with different options? There are lots of threads about this problem, have you tried following any of them? An internet search for 'revit link dwg solid' gives lots of hits. Here are two from Autodesk themselves:

I've sometimes had success just saving the dwg in an older format, I suppose this removes some newer functions not well supported by Revit - but I don't know. Even an export to DXF has helped sometimes. The general approach of importing into a family does seem to be the way to go.
