I have tried several of the suggestions for loading this file to make it work in Revit 2018. I think the extraction program is not the issue; it is the update of the software. Why Autodesk does not include this program as a standard feature in Revit is beyond architectural BIM Managers. The only rational conclusion is Autodesk's forcing subscribers to use AutoCAD! It is comparable to the weak text tools in Revit or the lack of flexibility to create family Categories as may apply to a specific project type or client.

It would be nice if the software engineers / Autodesk would focus on the needs of the end users and not programming masturbating for software very few professionals will ever use!

DPRevitFreezeDrawing should be not a wish list item (those things take 25 years to be addressed!) but made a mandatory fix now. Come on Autodesk, put on your big boy pants and solve the important problems.

The plug-In has been discontinued.
But you can still find people that will get you the same tool

So it's gone, but not forgotten.

Thanks Dave,

I've tried all the install suggestions. And none of them have worked. Without that program we now have to export a detail (s) to AutoCAD to flatten them, re-import them, adjust them with Revit specific content (lines, dims, text, etc) and then we can export or save them for general use - a huge unnecessary workflow if Autodesk would just put in the time to update that program. Instead we get needless "program feature upgrades" that are meaningless.

Sorry, I'll get off my soap box now!!
