Baluster Count

I have a railing and would like to schedule the length of the railing and how many balusters it currently has. I can't seem to get this to work. I thought maybe it was a shared parameter issue but I created one that has a baluster in it but it doesn't count them. Where am I goofing up? Stairs.txt is the shared parameter that I created.

I'm not sure if that is what you were after, but I've done it without even using any parameters - just for the show in the schedule.

I opened your RVT file and added to your schedule a calculated field (part of schedules dialog box) named eg. "Baluster count", with a formula: Length / 0'-4" (=> Baluster spacing,taken from the definition of your rail). It seems to work fine.
