View Full Version : 2018 Setting up different levels for existing vs. Proposed

I'm working on a project that currently has 8' 4" walls at the lower level and ceiling joist above, then another level of floor joists for the upper level above that.
The remodeled structure will have 8'-0" walls at the lower level and only one Floor/ceiling joist structure above.
My question is- How can I have different levels, in the elevations, reflecting these 2 different conditions.
The existing and proposed structures should show a different set of levels.
Or is there a better way to illustrate this in Revit with everything corresponding correctly?
Thank You

I don't "think" you can assign levels to phases, ..
So what I would do is create a special workset for one of them such as "EXISTING CONDITIONS" or something like that, place your levels on that workset, you can control visibility that way.

Maybe someone else has a better way, but that would work, and how I would do it.

We have a "Existing Level" family that's set to a color to mimic half tone.
You can't set grids that way either so we do a similar thing for that as well.
