Stair Path Arrow?

I have created stairs using the component based stair. Stair arrows are on in visibility graphics but when I go to the annotation tab, stair path is grayed out. How do I add the stair path arrows?

Are you still still modifying the stair? You need to be finished the process of building the stair first. The stair path annotation is not part of the stair. it is like a tag and is controlled separately.
