Curtain Wall Mullion

I've created a custom curtain wall mullion using the Profile template
In family category and parameters set the profile usage to mullion.
When i insert it in the project it appears under Profiles and not Curtain Wall Mullion.
Any idea ?

Once you have the profile loaded into your file you'll need to create a mullion Type based on that profile.


With the mullion tool selected open the properties box.
Select the Family: category (i.e. rectangular, etc)
Choose Edit/New
Choose Duplicate and then name the new profile
Select your custom profile from the Profile flyout.
Done

Is it just me or in Revit 8.1 you can only change profiles for the rectangular type?
