I think the new starting screen, called "Revit Home," is an improvement over the previous starting screen. However, I wonder why my most recent project file is not showing up ... ?

Turns out that it was a problem with the revit.ini file not updating. It may have been a problem with Windows--imagine that! Anyway, Michael Covielo in the Autodesk Support Team fixed the problem. Thanks, Michael!

The 2019.1 update also fixed a problem we were experiencing with being unable to move objects by typing over the temporary dimensions. There were work-arounds, but it was annoying.

Hi,
re the Revit 2019.1 update that no longer keeps the recent list updated, apparently it has something to do with that it has been geared to update Central files so local files don't present themselves, that's fine for central files but what about the rest, millions of users don't use central files, they have no need to. The Revit Lt 2019.1 that can't use Central files works just fine, recent list shows recent files. SO what was the fix for the full expensive version.... P P P PLEASE

So we DON'T use central files and yes, the new start screen is fantastically broken for us. It's ridiculous.

How about letting us choose to use the old screen, which looked better and had better functionality, and actually worked?

One can only imagine the elaborate and deep-reaching code work at the foundation of the application that would be needed to fix such as complicated problem as this one.

Especiallywhen the file history shows up correctly on the list of recent files that you can see when you open the file menu.
