Summary: Beam properties are affected by Structural Connections.
Description: Once a connection has been added to a beam, we loose the functionality of a revit beam.
If we choose to then remove the connection as the connection isn't suitable and we need to create an in-place connection, we cannot apply coping or cuts to the beam in order to achieve this. Additionally the beam looses it's material display properties which is a pain as we have materials visible in our templates and some beams have materials showing and others dont depending if i've added a connection.
Could the beam be treated in the same way as parts are, in that we can toggle it between a revit beam and a fabrication object?
