Summary: We REALLY need taggable, schedulable 2D and 3D polylines for diagrammatic elements like egress paths.
Description: I have used the various workarounds with railings and mass elements, but really folks -- what kludges those are for what should NOT be a difficult data type for the programming team to add to the Revit tool set. And try explaining why we have to resort to them to a new hire, usually with AutoCAD experience.
I envision a tool used like the Walkthrough camera path, with a choice of (at least) straight and arc segments. The points could then optionally be raised or lowered, individually or together, like those on the Walkthrough or Toposurface elements, either visually in elevation or numerically in plan.
Come on!
