I belive a lot of people struggles with getting out the wall / slab / roof assembly as a schudle or a tag. In Poland we are used to prepare material assembly tables / tag for all the wall used in a project, one like this:
106990

What I want to do is to make a material schedule that would be sorted by Family/Type then by layer numbering - showing one material for each layer with its thickness.

I've tried to get out a much as I can but the problem is that I don't know where to find layer numbering parameter (which Revit somewhere has in each type of wall family):
106989

Maybe I could pul this out of each wall type via a shared parameter? Any ideas?

Maybe you could do it if you transform the wall in a part (from Modify>create>part) Then you can give the layers individual paramters and maybe even tag them. I have never tried this do, but it's worth investigating. Remember that only shared parameters are taggable.
