Lights in a sloping ceiling

I have a sloping gyp bd ceiling that follows a stair, there are lights that are in the ceiling 1'x4'. When I cut a section through the lights, the lights are not sloped with the ceiling.

You would have to create a slope reference light component (if you cannot find it) the light you are using is referencing a level, not the face of the ceiling...i think

Open the lighting fixture family you're using.

Go to settings/family categories & parameters.

Uncheck the "always vertical" checkbox at the bottom of the dialog.

Save & reload.

Should solve your problem.

Did that work, did that work!!!! I didn't think about the always vertical check box.....

thanks for the reply guys. The ceiling has changed back to new 2x2 grid at 21'-6" not sloped.
I love Design Build projects, they change minute by minute. I just cringe when the Architect gets back from a meeting. lol
