You cannot have two outside layers of a wall unlocked?

Is it true that you cannot have two finish layers on either side of a wall to be extended individually (unlocked in the wall editor)? Is that because there is only one parameter for the base extension distance?

Yes and no. You can't unlock both the interior and exterior finish. But you could unlock the core elements between the interior and exterior. This lets you extend them independent of the core. But what you are really doing is extending the core. The two finish sides will have the same height, so they can't be move independently, but it does work well for something like extending a stud to deck without extending the gyp.bd. See attached...
