My Revit cursor seems to have a mind of its own, highlighting and selecting elements far from its location in a view, as the attached image demonstrates. The highlighted window is not part of a group, just a window in a wall. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Has anyone figured out how to make the cursor highlight the object it is hovering over, not a random distant one? Revit 2019.2, updated and hotfixed.

It may be the family itself. Nested elements can affect the detectable extent of the family once it is loaded in a project. If it does that for any/all families that would rule out the individual family.

Ah, that's it. This is one of the AIO (all-in-one) sash windows from Revit Content, and there are indeed multiple reference planes and dimensions well beyond the visible extents of the window geometry itself. Case closed.

Update: Version 6 of the AIO windows from Revit-Content.com has fixed this bug. 4/25/2019
