Modeling roof

I have a client that wants to make this canopy which consists of a barrel vaulted provide (in elevation) but the front of the canopy is bowed (in plan) Not sure how to begin to model this. The barrel vault (arched) portion would be easy if just that by extrusion. Anyone have any advice? My only thought was to make custom family with roof modeled in plan and then place void to get the barrel.

If by bowed in plan you mean this...barrel by extrusion and then a Vertical Opening to carve off the bow.
