Manage Subcategories for different Families

Hi,
Is it possible to create the same subcategory line for different families and somehow control their visual representation in the project?
For example, I have a door family using plan swing subcategory and I want a generic family to use the same subcategory so that I can control their graphics in one place. How can I achieve that?

Family subcategories in the project environment are "Object Styles" in the family environment.

You can have Subcategories under Doors and Generic Models with the same name, but they will be separate Subcategories because they are under different Categories. Both families would have to be of the same Category to have objects within them assigned to the same Subcategory.

Meaning that I cant have door swing and generic family subcategory to be controlled under one category in object style, since these two fall under different categories. Thanks, this answers my question.
