What is the simplest way to correctly show the attached wall join? We have the face of the thicker veneer wall stepping out as a feature but need to show the correct brickwork. I've tried drawing another wall to take the corner (both single skin brick and another veneer wall) but these don't work properly. Doing to walls isn't an option either as windows/doors need to go into the stepped wall.

Thanks.

Dissect the attached file.

These conditions can be fiddly.

The thicker veneer wall has an end return. The thinner veneer wall is then aligned to join to the return. A stud wall is added to complete the process and joined with the others.

It works... at first. Unfortunately I have to edit the profile of the thicker wall (to form a gable). As soon as I do this one of the ends has to unjoin. Only one end though... This program can be really frustrating sometimes.

Can you use a stacked wall, and edit the upper part, leaving the rest intact ?

Sorta like this....

What about dragging one wall over the other and using the join geometry tool?

Use an architectural column to make the short return.
