Hello again,
Attached is the roof and I'm not sure how to correct this or where I went wrong, thank you very much

Select the roof and edit footprint. Then select the line of the eave and in properties make sure that 'Offset from Roof Base' is set to 0. Individual lines within a roof sketch can all have different elevation values.

Thanks marm, worked like a charm. I was going to post a question regarding the attached pic. Would the plumb cut option be used to get the gables to die into the roof, and is the roof an actual second roof? Thank you again.

Sorry, my bad, I meant the overhang

The small little overhangs that run into the gable wall faces would need to be modeled as separate little roofs and then join them to the main roof. Plumb cut just dictates how the ends of the overhang extensions are cut at the fascia. Plumb cut means they are cut vertically, the other way would be they are cut horizontal.
