Hi,
I am trying to array an object vertically on elevation, but when specifying distance, the program won't allow distances in the vertical direction, only on the horizontal. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

What object are you trying to array? If its a hosted element, you may need to array the object(s) and the host.

it is just a wall with an opening (made with edit elevation profile) no hosted objects.
thanks,

Walls cannot be moved vertically, because they are defind by constrains to the level below and above. Therefore you will not be able to array a wall veritcally. You can copy a wall to clipboard, and "paste aligned" by level to copy it vertically, but be sure to have levels defined for each of the levels above that you plan to create.

I have the same issue. I first created an in-place family as a "roof Object" (Rafter tail) - didn't work... Then I tried creating the rafter tail as a "generic object" - didn't work either.
I can only array in one direction...
Anymore thoughts?

if there is a horizontal constrains you won't be able to, when you click on the object can you see that little square "thingi" showing it's attached? try un attaching it and give it another go...

Worked... It was the "Disassociate work plane".
Thanks!
