Congratulations on posting an image with your question!

I would create an Wall inplace family that includes a solid mass first, then I would make a series of voids that cut out that mass until I get that shape. Possibly a few revolve voids would be easier. Our firm does a lot of this kind of highly detailed classical work. It can be tricky but there is always a way. Here is an image of a curved barrel vault with ribs. Not exactly what you are after, but the process would be the same, in this case its an inplace ceiling solid, with a series of void extrussions, then a "rib" family that is applied. So in your example you may want to make a family for the curved trim.

This is a quick massing model of the form. Hope this helps.

.how to do

I will answer this way - It can be done. I will not explain how other than this image. With time, a more accurate depiction of your question can be accomplished. (I don't have time to do it correctly right now) an arrayed family of solid/void.

I realize that some are getting annoyed by Jiaoyanbing's methods. May I please ask that we refrain from stooping to unpleasantness? Please refrain from responding if you are not interesting in contributing positively.
